The name Av literally means “father.” Av derives from the root, which means, “to will” or “to desire.”
We enter the month of Av, with an eagerness to draw closer to the heart of the Father. The closer we are to someone the clearer we will hear their voice. The voice of the Father beckons us to greater Intimacy and encounters with Him.
Jonathan David Helser (worship artist) writes, “Identity is discovered through the voice we listen to. We have all been created to be defined by a Father’s voice. Every girl is made to hear the words, “You are beautiful” and every boy is designed to hear the words, “well done”. Until we each have an encounter with our Father in heaven, we will spend our lives broken in search of our identity. The Father is sitting in His favourite chair, just waiting on us to burst into His Presence and say “Daddy, do it again, tell me who I am.””
As we encounter the Great I Am, we step into the identity of who we are in Christ and get to partner with heaven to fulfil God size dreams for our lives. Allow Him to finish somethings in your life so He can build something new!
The Father longs for you to enjoy the fullness of His blessings. Repent, renounce and turn to God with your whole heart. Draw close to Him, hear His Voice and bring it to heart. Don’t worry if you messed up, hit the re-set button this month and make a Teshuvah (turn around) back to Av!
This is a season of great change. Great change is upon the church. A season of re-reshuffling, realignment and restoration. Many wandering are going to come to an end in this season.
A lion has roared! Who will not fear?
The Lord God has spoken!
Who can but prophesy? (Amos 3:8)
Yes, Abba, I desire to draw closer to you, to enjoy greater intimacy with you. Help me to partner with Heaven to fulfill Your dreams in my life. I repent, renounce and turn to You with all my heart. I welcome the month of AV !
